Track Throw Down - Paperback

by Jake Maddox (Author), Eduardo Garcia (Illustrator)

When Angel crushed the long jump record in eighth grade, it felt like he was flying. Now in ninth grade, it's like those wings have been clipped. A growth spurt has left him feeling so awkward and off balance that the track and field coach has Angel try out a new event--shot put. Still, Angel is struggling to coordinate his movements to make a decent throw. And off the field, he gets thrown every time his art teacher uses his full name, Michelangelo. Angel is no great artist, but as he digs into his drawing assignment, he finds sketching bodies in motion might just be the key to understanding his own. Can Angel persist in his practice long enough to find his flow and soar once again? Find out in this action-packed Jake Maddox graphic novel!
