Trade Girl is a story of trouble in North Carolina prior to the revolution, perhaps what led to Declaration of Independence in the area. The time, and the historical people involved are seen through the eyes of a fictional pair of brothers and the women they love. It is a story of struggle both within and without to adapt to the situation.

Author Biography

The author has lived with her husband and two daughters most of her life in Charlotte, N.C. She became fascinated with the history of the area, called "A hornet's nest" by redcoats during the revolution. Trouble mentioned in the book is thought to have led to a Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence that preceeded the U.S. Declaration.
