Having a loved one who identifies as the opposite gender is very challenging to each member. Families face situations that will stretch each one's emotional and spiritual strength. I remember the first time I opened a Bible in search for answers. As you know the Bible does not state the word transgenderism, but it does inform us of the minds becoming a battlefield. So where do we go to attempt to bring clarity to us? Well for others I know, and myself it is through God's word. God addresses the fleshly desires, and reminds us "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:12. How do we fight back? Putting God first always, praying for His leading and studying the Word of God. This book is meant to be a beginning step of addressing some of the situations our families endure.
