Brody was back with his high school sweetheart, Geo, and he believed that this time would be different. But Geo isn't a one-man guy, and he made Brody feel ashamed of the side of himself that never fully grew up. Even though Brody wants to act Little sometimes, he knows Geo isn't going to ever be a good Daddy for him. The stuff can all be sold or donated to the local shelter, all of it except a few "personal" items that probably didn't mean to get batched in with the rest. When Aaron tries to return the valuables, he finds a broken boy who just needs some love and attention.
