María José Ferrada is a journalist and writer. She holds a master's degree in Asian and Pacific Studies from the University of Barcelona. Her books for children have won numerous awards and have been published all over the world.

Magdalena Pérez is a designer and illustrator of books for children based in Santiago, Chile.
