The author grew up in a multi-cultural, blended family. She was inspired by her life experiences and created this heartwarming story, which is both unique and familiar to the many different family dynamics today.
Not everything is picture perfect, and everyone doesn't always get along, but it's important to set a good example of what a healthy, blended family could be. The author hopes Pim's story relates to children with similar backgrounds and that it may encourage families to work together in harmony.
