This book was not written to brag or to condemn or make anyone feel guilty. It's a book of poems about a young man's decisions, temptations, frustrations, observations and confessions.
We are bombarded with pictures, videos, music, blogs, movies, TV shows, advertisements and all sorts of information that seem to be encouraging our youth to do one thing: have sex. The message seems to be, "If you want to do it - do it, it's normal; everyone is doing it."
Ike is here to say that "Not everyone is doing it," and even if it looks like everyone is doing it - you don't have to. You have a choice. You can choose to wait.
"I'm a promoter of sexual purity even though I'm tempted daily like the average man. But I'm willing to take the risk of being mocked in my mission to share a different perspective with this generation. I hope this book starts many open, honest, and inspiring conversations".
