Retired Chicago Homicide Detective, Jack Handler, and his daughter Kate, a New York City homicide detective, with the help of Jack's new good friend Legend, set about identifying and eliminating the serial killer of Michigan nurses. Story takes place largely in Lake Michigan resort town of South Haven, with scenes set also in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Jack's two fourteen year old foster boys, along with their brilliant Golden Retriever (Buddy), all play instrumental roles is solving the crime.
