Prepare to embark on a heartwarming journey of friendship, family, and finding home in Welcome to Fort Goode, by Winsome Bingham! Meet Lang Ford, a young boy who's no stranger to change. Once again, he's leaving behind his school, friends, and the familiar comforts of his community, all because of his dad's new post at Fort Goode Military Base in Virginia. As Lang adjusts to his new surroundings and makes new friends, he discovers a profound truth - as long as his family is together, he is truly home. A Lesson in Unity: In a world where one person's service in the military means the whole family serves, Lang, a Jamerican boy, faces the challenge of balancing friendship, family, and adapting to his new home. Bonus Features: This remarkable book not only tells a touching story but also includes valuable extras like a glossary of terms and a delicious recipe for Jamaican Grater Cake, offering readers an immersive and enriching experience.
