Welcome to My World is a brand new one-girl musical by Bruce Kimmel. It is the first one-person musical ever written for and about a fourteen-year-old girl. The show is a series of monologues and songs, taking you into the world of a bright, funny, irreverent and iconoclastic young girl named Molly, who has her own very unique way of looking at things and life. Through a series of monologues and songs, we learn all about what makes her tick, what her views are on any number of topics, and how she navigates herself through the sometimes tortuous territory that is teen life.
Author Biography
Bruce Kimmel wrote, directed and starred in the cult movie hit, The First Nudie Musical (available on a Special Edition Blu-ray). He also co-created the story (with David Wechter) for the hit film, The Faculty. He's written many musicals, and is also the creator, writer, and director of the popular web series, Outside the Box. His song "Simply" recently won the Mac Award for Best Song of the Year (2015). Mr. Kimmel is also a legendary Grammy-nominated producer of theatre music on CD, having produced over 180 albums. His label, Kritzerland, issues soundtracks and theater music and recently celebrated its tenth anniversary. For the past five years (as of 2015) he has been producing and hosting a monthly series of live entertainments based on the albums he's produced, called Kritzerland at Sterling's Upstairs at The Federal. Mr. Kimmel was also a popular actor and appeared in most of the hit sitcoms of the 1970s. He is also the author of fifteen books (as of 2015), which can all be found on Amazon and other online bookstores.
