This book is the product of a father and son who waged a seven-year battle against the civil authorities to be together. The pieces are neither autobiographical nor historical, but represent an effort to capture their challenges and blessings as seen through the lens of first-hand experience and observation of human nature. The purpose of this work is to somehow give hope to the oppressed, encouragement for the downtrodden and a hand to those who may be struggling in similar circumstances. The author attempts to address the pressing issues of justice, child custody, civil disobedience, hope against all odds, the search for truth, living in a spirit of gratitude, and the triumph of mercy over judgment.
