Author Biography
About the author David McArthur trained as a Graphic Designer in England and Germany before moving to Canada in 2011. In 2013 he started work on The "What Does" series - a collection of children's books designed to promote an interactive learning experience for all 3 to 5 year olds. David is married to Helen and together they have two willing test subjects/children, Max and Freya. The Inspiration Behind The "What Does" Series As a Graphic Designer David is used to thinking creatively and often wakes up in the middle of the night with crazy ideas (aka inspiration). One such flash of inspiration occurred, not late at night, but as David was driving his son to daycare one Thursday afternoon in early 2013. It was usual for David's son to request a story during the ten minute drive, and these stories tended to be a rehash of previously told yarns. However, on this particular occasion David decided to turn the requested story into a quiz to see how much his son knew (as father's often do). And thus the phrase "What Does A..." was born.
