As I recorded the events and heartaches of dealing with my sons' addictions, I was strengthened and reinforced by my career as a social worker in which I have been blessed serving individuals with developmental disabilities. My whole life, both personally and professionally, has been dedicated to helping others...especially my sons, and through this journey, I have learned the difference between helping and enabling.
