Self-proclaimed witch, Astrid Nielsen has to escape Northern Michigan after her criminal exploits are nearly discovered. With tarot as her guide, she is on her way to Whitewater, Wisconsin, otherwise known as Second Salem, a town where legends of witches and the supernatural abound.

Coincidentally, at the same time, Wolfgang Kilmer has been invited to the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater to give a presentation on cryptozoology. Awaiting them both is the High Priestess of a witch's coven with evil plans. Wolfgang discovers not only witches in Second Salem, but soon encounters the mythical wolf like creature, the Beast of Bray Road.
