A single mother of two daughters, college graduate with a Masters degree in Education, Supervision, and Administration, and currently an educator in Newark NJ is what her bio now reads, but who is she? In the spring of 2003 while taking a Memoir class at New Jersey City University, Yakima realized her story was one that she wanted to share. Experiencing teen pregnancy, dropping out of high school, being a child of drug addicted parents, thoughts of suicide and numerous bad decisions could have been her demise. Making failure not an option in her life she chose to turn her life around and now wishes to help young girls who may be heading towards that road of confusion, ask themselves that same life changing question she did.
