Snow is falling in the community of Metcalfe County, Kentucky and schools are closed. Christmas is near and shoppers find their way in and out of local stores, making sure Santa doesn't forget items on the wishlist. Cooking has begun, sleds are prepped, and game boards come from under the bed. We settle into a winter's night and sometimes longer knowing the thaw of spring is not far away.
