Author Biography

MaKenna Doherty is a lifelong book-lover. She got her first job as an intern at Macmillan's Tor Books in NYC and later worked at Blue River Press in Indianapolis. After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in communications she moved to Japan. Growing up in Indiana, she collected books and found them to be a great way to enjoy a pastime where she could learn, grow, and connect with others. While in Japan, MaKenna began mountain hiking, where she found the inspiration to write. Her stories share critical life lessons and inspire others to never give up.

Stefanie Geyer at a young age attended drawing classes with her mother. This lead to a career in art illustration as she pursued her education at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. Stefanie now lives in Winamac, Indiana with her boyfriend, four dogs, and cat, where she continues to illustrate children's books.
