by Ric V. Solano (Author)

Yaqui Woman and the Crystal Cactus is a harrowing, spiritually rewarding story of a New Mother Teresa emerging in the Mayan 2012 New Age of Consciousness and Age of Aquarius. A psychotherapist envisions the destruction of a Yaqui Indian village in 1910 Mexico, and the escape of a family. Bandits kill all but the mother and 14-year-old Maria, left beaten and raped, resulting in the birth of Teresa, seen as an evil omen by Maria. She abandons her to a workhouse. Later, Teresa works on behalf of children and women, and helps men to leave violence towards women and to live fuller lives. Thus, she is transformed into a Woman of Power in the World, so proclaimed by her Yaqui Gods. About the Author: Ric V. Solano, a PhD psychotherapist, experienced an out-of-body vision similar to Teresa's. It happened in Baja California. Otherwise, Ric, a Chicagoan, has led an exciting life. He served in the World War II Merchant Marine, during the Korean War in the Air Force, and after graduate work, was a reporter for the Chicago Daily News and a correspondent for Newsweek. Later, Ric served on management consulting projects in foreign countries and for stateside governments; after college and university teaching, he joined the Chancellor, University of California, San Diego as executive assistant. Here he completed PhD work, an internship, and licensure as a psychotherapist. Presently Ric is in private practice with his wife, Dr. Rosemary Clarke, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
