year of the dragonfly is a contemporary meditation in classical form-haiku guided by the Japanese almanac of season words.
While 2024 was celebrated as the Year of the Dragon, this collection turns toward a smaller, earthly creature for inspiration. Amid a world in flux, these poems explore the space between motion and stillness, beauty and impermanence, and the quiet transformations of everyday life.
Unfolding across twelve cycles of a single year, these spare and luminous poems invite the reader to pause, notice, and begin again.
