by Susan W. Corbran (Author)

Growing up in a small conservative town, Samantha Wright appears to have it all together. She has perfect attendance at school, is an active member of the Lakeside Church Youth Group, and is known for her willingness to help others. As she and her life-long friend Charlie begin their first year of high school, the arrival of a new girl triggers events and reveals secrets that test their friendship, their beliefs, and their understanding of acceptance and love. Join Sam as she navigates a world of bullies, fear, and judgment to understand and accept her place in the world, despite the many obstacles along her path. Along the way, her trust in God's unconditional love shines a light on her journey as she confronts the difficulties life throws at her. This book recognizes that in face of the daily challenges of LGBTQ youth, God will continue to love them despite what some Christians choose to believe. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit Time Out Youth, Inc. in Charlotte, NC, which gives LGBTQ students age 11-20 a safe place for tutoring and recreation while meeting their social needs.
