by Camille Josephine Carr (Author), Lela Meunier (Illustrator)
Bev and Lil are sisters who are quite different. Bev loves reading books and rolling her eyes. Lil likes kicking balls and playing in the muck. But there is one way they are exactly alike: they love each other more than anything.
When Lil becomes very ill, she is too weak to walk or talk. After learning she doesn't have much time left, she and Bev make the most of every day by singing and dancing loud and proud, making messes, wearing pretty dresses, and inviting friends over to have fun. Although the life Lil lives is never easy, it is never empty or devoid of unconditional love.
Bev and Lil teaches children important lessons about the power of love between siblings in the wake of a life-limiting illness.
